What Are Dentures?

Dentures are removable dental appliances that replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Made from advanced materials that mimic the look and feel of natural teeth and gums, dentures can enhance facial appearance and improve chewing and speech.

Types of Dentures

Full Dentures: Full dentures are used when all the natural teeth are missing. They rest on top of the gums as opposed to dental bridges that are anchored to existing teeth. Full dentures are either “conventional” or “immediate.” Conventional dentures are made and placed after the remaining teeth are removed and the tissues have healed, which may take several months. Immediate dentures are prepared in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed. While immediate dentures offer the benefit of never having to be without your teeth, they may require more adjustments to fit properly during the healing process than conventional dentures.
Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are ideal for patients who still have some of their natural teeth remaining. These dentures fill in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevent other teeth from shifting position. Partials are removable and are typically held in place by clasps around the existing teeth.

  I have now been to Premier Dental 3 times. Each visit has been a very pleasant experience. (Something I have never said about a dentist before) Dr. Svitko is incredibly detail oriented, knowledgeable,  kind and the best dentist I've ever been to.
